Robert Mark Baldwin, Sr. was born on March 3, 1925 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania. His life experiences included: growing up in rural & mountainous western Pennsylvania; serving in the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II during the invasion of Germany; moving to central New Jersey where he started his own commercial art & advertising business; settling down in South Plainfield, New Jersey where he raised his family and served as mayor for six years; and finally retiring to Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania where he pursued his final life's business of designing military memorabilia, plaques and monuments. He died on December 28, 2003 in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania leaving behind him a vast legacy of paintings, sculptures and creative works.

The purpose of this web site is to present those creative works so that the world may know of them and of the man behind them. The site is broken down into pages which describe various genre of his art and the collections which have been donated to worthy causes. This is not a commercial site selling the works of Robert Baldwin. Pieces which are displayed on the various pages of this website may, however, be offered for sale in either original or print form from the private collections of family members if contacted individually. Inquiries should be directed to the e-mail address at the bottom of the page. All works have been distributed outside of the Robert M. Baldwin Estate and none are held by it. All pieces have, however, been conservatively identified with their accepted values as they were in 2003 at the death of Robert Baldwin and appropriate documentation has been collected as justification for those values. All donated collections are also appropriately valued at the time they were assembled. The original military art collection was donated to the Ft. Bragg Airborne Museum in Fayetteville, North Carolina on March 26, 2005. Copyrighted digital rights to the art were reserved by the members of the Robert M. Baldwin Estate, however, for their personal benefit and enjoyment*. In this connection a reprint of the collection was made on March 23, 2015 and donated to Veteran's Haven North - "The Rally Point" of Glen Gardner, New Jersey for the benefit of the veterans using that facility. The value of that collection was determined by the cost of recreating it at that time. Likewise, if any future donations are made, they shall be valued in the same way.
